Jeff Koons
I recently was invited along to the MCA opening celebration for the Jeff Koons exhibit in Chicago by some friends who were members of the museum.
It was the usual crowd of wealthier white women in daring dresses, gaggles of slightly pudgy gay men who believed themselves to be art critics, smaller couplings of gay men [...]

been a long time…
it’s been a long time, since i took the time to leave physical manifestations of myself in the “blogosphere.”
Does anyone use that word anymore?
regardless, i’ve been in chicago for a few months and my life has quickly become something i was desperately trying to avoid whilst in new york: an adventurous journey into the depths [...]

Jun Baker – Chicago
I was lucky enough to be invited to a new store opening for the sole woman who introduced Comme de Garcon to the Chicago area in the 80s.
It was a cute little store bathed in white that showcased a distinct collection of items produced by an array of local designers as well as those who [...]

new job
with my recent move to chicago, I’ve obviously had to start a new job. And as always with major changes in my life, I’ve had to stubbornly focus on that single aspect until I’ve reached a certain level of comfort with it.
Hence my blogging has been nonexistent.
But, I hope to restart this soon and discuss [...]

watching this…
…got me thinking. when in the world, did i let my ever revolving image transform itself into an asian doppelganger for the famous blood-squirting druggie? i think it started with my black skinny jeans. it had to have been. before i knew it, i was draping myself in these [...]

finally
so the last few months of toil and anxiety finally reached an appex yesterday with my flight from NYC into O’Hare.
arrived at my new apartment at around 2pm, slightly dazed and emotionally heavy when it finally dawned on me that i would no longer be able to cast my eyes along the new york skyline from my office [...]

two more days
well actually it’s a few more days than that, but i only have two more days (including today) of work left…
…before i leave for an area of the US that most of us coastal gaysian boys consider no man’s land populated with rosy corn-fed white boys and girls who will pass over the x-smalls and [...]

typically i would be excited about all this fashion week stuff, but i find myself exhibiting unusually prominent levels of apathy at the moment.
i’ve been getting stress headaches from all the craziness from finding a new job, packing, moving, commuting 6 hours a day and simply being able to accept the fact that I will [...]

relapse
updates have not exactly been my priority recently and as a result, this alter ego has been somewhat stagnant.
anyway, my move to chicago / sanity has been in a state of constant flux.
but, it looks like i’ll be in the nyc metro area a tad longer pending certain factors that are reluctantly beyond my grubby [...]

Water Hike
In some recent news, we were finally able to get our new apartment number in Chicago!
Another milestone and another day closer to when Project GFNYC is complete.
(GFNYC = Get the F*ck out of New York City)
And just in time too, since the city intends to raise water rates up 54%. Link
